Following the announcement that David Bernstein is due to step down as Chairman of the FA, William Hill have opened a book on who will be his replacement.
After all of his fine work at
Arsenal and having been vice chairman of the FA in the past, David Dein is the 11/10 favourite to get the role when Bernstein leaves in May 2013 with former Liverpool chief executive, Rick Parry 7/4.
Further down the list of potential replacements, comes former England Rugby Union coach
Clive Woodward at 14/1 and Barry Hearn at 25/1.
“It is thought that Bernstein will be replaced by someone who will inject a bit more colour into the role, although whether Barry Hearn will be considered or the somewhat less flamboyant David Dein remains to be seen,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.
Possible replacements for
David Bernstein at the FA: 11/10 David Dein; 7/4 Rick Parry; 5/2 Roger Burden; 8/1 David Gill; 14/1 Clive Woodward; 25/1 Barry Hearn
